1. Know When to Pounce on Opportunity

Sometimes exciting new things present themselves to us but we are afraid to go after them. Being uncertain about what the future holds is ok! Don’t let nervousness keep you from achieving great things though. Go for it. Even failing is an opportunity to learn and grow.

2. Don’t be a Copy-Cat

Trying to build yourself on the successes and ideas of others won’t help you grow or succeed yourself. Be original! Look to others for inspiration and advice, but in the end, everything you do should be 100% you.

3. Be Fierce

Work toward every goal with your absolute best effort! If you are focused and determined, nothing will stand in your way.

4. Trust Your Instincts

You might feel like the advice you receive from others is constantly conflicting or that it doesn’t quite work for you. Listen to what others have to say, but in the end, no matter what you do, the decisions you make should be the ones that you are comfortable with.

5. Go Wild!

Don’t forget to have fun! Whether fun is hanging out with your dance BFFs at a slumber party or sitting in your room with a book, it is important to take time to enjoy yourself.

6. Take Time to Cool Off

Did you know tigers swim? They use the water to cool off on hot days. Your hot days might not have anything to do with temperature, and in the same way, your cooling off might not have anything to do with water. Figure out what calms and relaxes you and use it on days that are stressful or overwhelming.
