How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance has a positive impact on my life by allowing me to be creative. It’s has taught me teamwork and has and continues to build my confidence as I explore new and different genres of dance. I started dancing when I was nine and only did ballet. I love ballet it’s my favorite genre. It wasn’t until last year that I started taking other genres. It’s a lot different than ballet, so it’s a little scary not to be so technical and allowed to be free. Free to create whatever your feeling. So that took a little getting used to. Still learning how to really be free and express myself but I love the challenge of trying new and different things.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive influence on your community?

I just want to inspire people by letting them know that dreaming big, work hard, staying focused, and taking risks can create amazing opportunities.
