Can you believe that this album was released 20 years ago today??!! I can’t. It’s definitely been the journey of a lifetime, full of ups and downs, but I’m grateful for every single moment of it all. Getting to know you all over the years has been such an incredible experience, and has made this all worth it. Thank you for your support from 20 years ago, all the way to today. I am blessed ❤️ #20yearsofbritney

A new musical is preparing for a world premiere in Chicago before making its way to Broadway. The musical, Once Upon a One More Time, tells the story of a royal book club made up of some of our favorite fairy tale princesses like Snow White and Cinderella. While the princesses question the way their fairy tales played out with the fairy godmother, the plot will be guided by some of Britney Spears’ hits.

While Britney Spears has no other part in the musical than the use of her discography, she is still excited to see her art making its way into musical theater. “I’m so excited to have a musical with my songs—especially one that takes place in such a magical world filled with characters that I grew up on, who I love and adore,” she said. “This is a dream come true for me!”

This Sunday’s 730 show will be mine, Mari and baby Madrid’s last show for Beyond Babel San Diego. I’m so grateful we were able to open the show here and see it blossom, but now it’s time to pour concrete elsewhere. If you haven’t seen us, or would like to one more time, you can grab tickets now at beyondbabelshow.com – Regardless, we have some incredible understudies in @hughniverse & @shannonk888 / @isidrorafae1 & @seleneharo / @samueljeanmoore & @livbattistaa who will be holding the lead roles down all the way until season 2 ends on March 30th.

Some of our favorite stars will be involved in the creation of this production, though. Choreographing couple Keone and Mari Madrid are the masterminds behind the dance numbers in the musical. The show will also be under the direction of Tony Award nominee Kristin Hangii.

Once Upon a One More Time  officially open November 13 at the James M. Nederlander Theatre.
