“I want to let people know that anyone can follow their dreams… Dance is an expression of who you are no matter your age or gender. It’s a safe space.”
Tell us about your dance experience!
I have danced for 10 years. I dance 20-30 hours a week in all styles, tap, lyrical, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and Latin. I am on a competition team, and I do many conventions in New England. I love to do master classes and drop-in classes whenever I can. I am learning and growing as a dancer every day.
How does dance have a positive impact on your life?
It lets me be who I want to be. I have a dance family who supports and loves me. I live for dance. It is who I am!
How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?
I want to let people know that anyone can follow their dreams. Everyone will be accepted. Dance is an expression of who you are no matter your age or gender. It’s a safe space. I want everyone who even has an idea to try dance to go for it.
