Showstopper Sparkle Society member, America’s Got Talent star, and automaton Merrick Hanna transitioned from 2018 into 2019 by branching out in his YouTube career and bringing his specialized dance moves to dancers all over the world. In partnership with Fox Family Entertainment, Merrick is now the freestyling host of Dance Squad with Merrick Hanna.

In this high energy show, you’re not going to be able to stay in your seat because you’re going to be dancing. Merrick travels to different a different studio in each episode to challenge dancers to try out moves he creates inspired by our favorite movies like Home Alone, Ice Age, and even Mrs. Doubtfire.

Each episode is short, usually under 10-minutes, but in that time you will learn a new set of dance moves, get introduced to talented dancers just like you, and maybe even find inspiration to start creating your own moves from your favorite entertainment. You never know where you might find your next dance move (Merrick finds them in ancient sloths!).

Look out for Merrick and his freestyle skills on this show and in the Spring 2019 issue of Showstopper Magazine (coming February 2019!). But until then, can you do The Granny Glide?
