Faith Serna is an eleven-year-old dancer from Elk River, Minnesota. She dances at Urban Dance Productions.

“When people dance, they can feel free and be themselves. I want everyone in the world to be able to enjoy that feeling!”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance teaches me to never give up. When I am learning a new skill or new choreography and it is really hard, I always keep going and work hard until I can do it. Then when I finally get it, it’s a great feeling especially when your friends and teachers are cheering you on.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive influence on your community?

I want everyone to see how important dance is and how special it is. When people dance, they can feel free and be themselves. I want everyone in the world to be able to enjoy that feeling!
