“I want my community to understand that no matter where you come from, you can get anywhere you want if you just don’t give up…”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance has a positive impact on my life because it has taught me to work hard to reach my goals. I am a very outgoing and crazy person, and when I dance, I can just let go and be as crazy as I want. Dance has allowed me to relieve stress throughout my movement and keep pushing through all the tough things in my life. I would not be the person I am today without dance and all the amazing things that come with the experience.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive influence on your community?

I want to use my dream of dance to show people that reaching for your dream may be hard, but you can achieve anything you want if you just put your mind to it and believe. I want my community to understand that no matter where you come from you can get anywhere you want if you just don’t give up when things get hard.
