Sophia Galaté is “the girl in pink.” A visit to her Instagram page is like dropping rose-tinted glasses over your eyes. Pink backgrounds, pink outfits, even loud proclamations that “Life is better in pink!” and “Everyone looks good in pink!” affirm her status as the pinkest performing artist out there.
Sophia is more than a color, but the way she’s embraced pink is representative of who she is as an artist and why her community loves showing up to hear her music and drink pink lattes. She is shamelessly enjoying herself, from outfit change to outfit change, in playful lyrics that narrate the journey.
This attitude brought Sophia’s debut album, For My Own Entertainment, a confident and energetic take on living for yourself, to life. On The Red Couch Show, Sophia took ownership of her “ridiculous, spontaneous life,” and she shared with Showstopper Magazine Online that she’s “truly a girl that says yes to doing things other people might not do.” This leaves her with “the funniest and most ridiculous stories.” Those moments keep her entertained, and of course, other people love them too. Listeners get to hear some of them in her album’s title track.
The album isn’t all biography, though. To soundtrack her life and introduce herself as an artist, Sophia built a sonic attitude that combines inspiration from “the divas from the 70s” and a heavy emphasis on her favorite color, pink.
As a community of divas who are similarly looking for any “excuse to wear this pink dress,” Sophia’s music reminds us what pink embodies. Every day can be a small celebration. You never know what’s going to happen. Pink has always been Sophia’s favorite color, and she’s letting it grow up with her. Despite its connections to youth, Sophia is using pink to curate grown-up glam. “…even if someone doesn’t know my name, they may know me as the girl in pink.”
For My Own Entertainment is out now—in gorgeous pink vinyl—and it wasn’t long after the release that Sophia took her superstar act on the road with the For My Own Entertainment and Yours Too Tour, a five-show run in March aimed at hanging out with her community. “I offered a VIP experience for some to come to my soundcheck and do a meet and greet and hangout wth me. My show is also very interactive. There’s moments where they get to choose the songs.” An experienced opener, the shift to headliner gave Sophia space to interact with her fans before and after the concert.
We think that For My Own Entertainment and Yours Too sounds like a great title for a deluxe album, but for now, Sophia isn’t teasing any new surprises—Can we have credit for coming up with the idea, though?—but you can find her on social media, sharing For My Own Entertainment in exciting new venues. She even performed at the Party in My Living Room experience at Coachella 2026. No matter where she is, we know “the girl in pink” is bold, fun, and honest.
For My Own Entertainment is available to stream now on your favorite platforms.
