Taylor Swift Gave Her First Live Performance of “betty” at the ACMs

Taylor Swift performed at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards on Wednesday for the first time in seven years (her last ACMs performance was with Tim McGraw in 2013) to an empty auditorium.

She played an acoustic set of “betty” from her eighth studio album folklore in Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House. Other pre-taped performances from Luke Bryan, Erich Church, Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, P!NK, and more took place at the Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe also in Nashville.

The performance was a highlight of everything Swifties love about the album, but Taylor did make one change to the lyrics (probably to make the song more TV friendly), from “Would you tell me to go f— myself?” to “Would you tell me to go straight to hell?”

Continuing her trend of creating her own looks (she styled her own hair and makeup for her “cardigan” music video), Taylor is also the stylist behind her ACMs outfit, hair, and makeup. Like her other folklore looks, she has her hair in tussled and curly low buns with a soft and natural makeup look to compliment her Stella McCartney look of a sparkling deep-pink turtleneck and beige pants (very Lover meets folklore!).

Check out the performance below.
