The movie musical version of Cats is set to come to theaters in the US and UK on December 20, 2019, but even with the cast list and lots of excitement drumming up around the film, there has been any word of a trailer–until now.
Today Taylor Swift took to her Tumblr to share a video. Unlike many of her recent posts, this video doesn’t promote her upcoming Lover album or share adorable moments with her three cats. It gives us a behind the scenes look at her role in Cats.
“I’m really stoked to get to be in Cats the movie,” Taylor says in the video, “to update it in ways that I think are so so so great.” Meanwhile, clips of Taylor dancing in what are presumably Cats rehearsals and more from her time filming in London play.
It looks like we’re finally getting a taste of what the much-anticipated film will look like with Taylor’s behind-the-scenes moments and another announcement. The first official trailer for Cats will premiere Friday, July 19.
