Taylor Swift’s first “From The Vault” single, “You All Over Me (From The Vault)” is available to stream, and it’s a total flashback to the early 2000s and Taylor’s Fearless era. (Hello, country music!)
Over the last thirteen years (we see you, Taylor) since the original recording of Fearless was released, Taylor’s voice and style have developed, but she doesn’t seem to have any issues stepping back into the country sound that started it all in this new track with Maren Morris.
She also isn’t having any trouble putting us in our feelings. Following her emotional folklore and evermore albums over the last year, it’s no surprise that the first song we hear from Fearless (Taylor’s Version)–other than “Love Story,” of course–would be a total heartbreaker. She shared that she’s been experimenting with “From The Vault” tracks, but we think she’s also loving experimenting with our hearts!
“I lived, and I learned, had you, got burned,” Taylor sings in the chorus of “You All Over Me.” The song is about a relationship that’s now over but that you can’t get out of your mind. Some people are speculating about how this fits into the experiences and relationships of teenage Taylor, but we’re just curious about what she has in store as she prepares to release the full rerecorded album and the other five vault songs. Are there more heartbreakers or are we about to discover a brand new upbeat hit?
