On Thursday, the Tony Awards announced that the event will return to Radio City Music Hall in New York City for the 75th Annual Tony Awards.

In 2021, the Tonys were held at the Winter Garden Theatre. The show split its format to stream the awards exclusively on Paramount+ while a live concert titled “The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back!” followed on CBS and Paramount+. This year, the awards will continue to include exclusive content on Paramount’s streaming platform, kicking off the event with an hour of exclusive content streaming ahead of the awards from 7 to 8 pm ET.

We are still a couple of months away from the nomination announcement. The eligibility cut-off date for this year’s awards is Thursday, April 28, 2022. Nominations will be announced the following week on Tuesday, May 3.

The 75th Annual Tony Awards will air live coast to coast for the first time on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Between the exclusive Paramount+ content and the awards show itself, the event will be a four-hour television and streaming event celebrating the performance arts and our favorite Broadway productions. This year’s host has not yet been announced.
