The 73rd Emmy Awards are quickly approaching, and this week the nominees were presented by Ron Cephas Jones and Jasmine Cephas Jones. The Crown and The Mandalorian tied for most nominations with 24 each. They are closely followed by WandaVision (23 nominations), The Handmaid’s Tale (21 nominations), and Saturday Night Live (21 nominations). Hamilton is eligible for Emmy nominations this year for the Disney Plus stage recording. The musical received 12 nominations.
In a press release, the Television Academy commented on this year’s nominees, stating that the nominations “[recognize] a wealth of innovative storytelling, exceptional new programs, and a robust and diverse group of talent nominees.”
The 73rd Emmy Awards will air Sunday, September 19 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT. They will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer.1111
