We love a music announcement, and this week, there’s a lot to anticipate from never-before-heard songs from past icons to surprise announcements from current favorites and even awards performances to enjoy as soon as this weekend. Read on to find out what’s new!

Never-Before-Heard Music from Selena

The beloved Tejano pop star Selena is releasing a new album nearly 30 years after her death. Selena’s family announced that the album will likely be released next month and includes old recordings of Selena as young as 13 years old with some songs retouched to match her voice at the time of her death.

Taylor Swift’s Single “Carolina”

Where the Crawdads Sing (based on the bestselling book of the same name) dropped it’s first official trailer this week along with a preview snippet of a new song. Taylor announced that her song “Carolina” was written for the soundtrack and she was excited about the project because “Where The Crawdads Sing is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago.”

Harry Styles Announces Harry’s House

Harry Styles next studio album Harry’s House is less than two months away. The “Watermelon Sugar” singer teased fans with vague pictures in his Instagram stories leading up to his announcement Wednesday. “Harry’s House. May 20th.”

The First Live Performance of an Encanto Favorite

Thursday, The Recording Academy announced that Encanto cast members Adassa, Stephanie Beatriz, Mauro Castillo, Carolina Gaitan, and Diane Guerrero, along with Becky G and Luis Fonsi, will perform the fan-favorite “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” at the 94th Oscars this weekend.
