“I want the community to have a place for kids to be able to express the art and I hope to be a part of that.”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance has allowed me to express myself and allow me a place to let all my emotions out. It has given me a chance to find myself as a person and a dancer. It has taught me discipline and respect. Through dance, I have met amazing mentors and friends. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to grow up with the art of dance.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive influence on your community?

I hope to be able to teach younger children all the skills I have learned and experienced through the art of dance. I hope to help the community find a way for all the younger children to have an opportunity to dance. I want the community to have a place for kids to be able to express the art and I hope to be a part of that.
