Walking through the hot pink doors to Las Vegas’ new Malibu Barbie Cafe pop-up is like stepping into Malibu sand on a summer afternoon. Imagine skating down the sunny boardwalk and arriving at Barbie’s beach house on a day with good surf and yummy food. The cafe is a glamorous pink dream!
A little slice of California paradise is now open in Las Vegas, Nevada! The Malibu Barbie Cafe is a sweet ode to the Barbie nostalgia that has seen a resurgence over the last few years. It is an immersive Barbie-themed experience filled with attention to detail and remixed with some fresh features. Inside, you will find sparkling disco balls, retro glam decor, and wall-to-wall hot pink. Let’s go to the beach! Stepping through the doors, it’s clear: life in plastic actually is fantastic!

We’re not playing pretend. The cafe is serving sunshine with a Barbie menu fit for the Dreamhouse. Designed by MasterChef finalist and Chopped winner Becky Brown in collaboration with Bucketlisters, the Malibu Barbie Cafe menu features pink hummus, West Coast Wave salads, beach burgers, and cupcakes served inside mini Barbie boats!
Beyond the pink food, there are interactive elements inside the café too! You can actually step into a life-sized Barbie box complete with a boogie board and boom box, join the beach party with fun photo-ops, and make a reservation to rent pink skates to cruise around in a mini roller rink! There is also merchandise exclusive to the cafe for guests to shop!

It’s hard to pull yourself away from the cafe for the decor alone. Malibu Barbie knows the West Coast vibe. Vintage Barbie surfboards displayed around the cafe and barreling ocean waves painted on the walls reminded me of home in California. Beyond the murals is an immersive Barbie beach experience, from a lifeguard chair and pink palm trees to a Malibu freeway sign and vintage dolls on display with amazing Barbie history and fun facts to learn. The attention to detail in each part of the concept and the creative ways the designers brought this special setting to life are full-out Barbie style! It’s pure fun and nostalgia!
