While fall can be one of the coziest and most relaxing times of the year- that also means that it can come with lots of down-time. Down-time can mean getting bored or restless of doing the same daily tasks and activities. So, to keep this fall exciting and engaging lets get crafty! As dancers, we love to stay active and hands-on during our day to day life, so adding in some fun crafts can be the perfect boredom cure!
DIY Dance Vision Board
Make something that can serve as a visual reminder for your goals and dreams! What could be better for this than making a vision board? Gather magazines, newspapers, printed pictures, and any other thing that can be used to fill up the board. Donβt forget to add some fun personalization with glitter, stickers, washi tape, and inspiring quotes. Make it however big or small you want, then place it somewhere in your room or bathroom where you can look at it and be reminded every day.Β
Decorate Your Dance Water Bottle
As an athlete, your water bottle goes everywhere with you, from class and practice to a study session with friends, so you might as well make it something cute and personalized. There are a couple different options for getting creative with it! You can get waterproof stickers (quotes, dance, or anything else you like) and place them all around the water bottle. Or if you feel like getting even more crafty, you can use paint pens to doodle your own designs and words on it.Β
Accessorize Your Dance Bag
Fall is the perfect time to give your dance bag a refresh. It is something you carry with you every day so it should match you and your vibe. Add iron-on patches (butterflies, stars, or ballet shoes), sew cute designs on the edges, or get some fun keychains to clip onto the zippers. Not only will this give you something to do with your time, but it will also make your bag stand out and easier to find!
Candle Making
Who doesnβt love a good candle in the fall? Candle-making is actually an easy and relaxing craft to do alone or with friends. You can get a kit from your local craft store or melt down your own wax, then choose a scent you love such as vanilla, pumpkin spice, or apple pie. Pour the wax into some mason jars or other cute, heat-safe containers (thrifting is a great way to find unique jars), and decorate it with cute ribbons and charms.
Fall-Themed Friendship Bracelets
Get embroidery thread in some fall colors such as orange, yellow, green and red. You can search up patterns on Pinterest or just do a simple braid. You can incorporate tiny charms or beads to add some pizzazz. You can even trade them with friends or give them away as gifts.
