Let’s set our intentions. 2022 will be blue skies and new adventures! There are so many possibilities, but let’s start with hair. We’ve officially hit refresh to start a sparkling new year! It’s so exciting to try out new hairstyles and start feeling out the latest trends. Read on for some of my favorite hair style trends of the new year. Grab your hairbrush, and let’s get going, diva!

Baby Braids

The “baby braid” trend is the ultimate cute look. This fabulous braided look may be small in size, but this hairstyle will be big this year. And we. are. here for it! Celebs like Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and Charli D’Amelio have all been sporting this super sweet hairstyle.

Styling this 90s throwback is simple. Keep you braids mini, and then have fun styling them. With one braid on each side, try a classic middle part with your hair down. For a glam and fierce look, slick back a high bun (every dancer knows how to tame those flyaways) and let your baby braids waterfall down the front. A sharp updo with those teeny braids pulled back into your ponytail is also a stylish look we’re loving.

Clips, Clips, Clips

From the claw clip to the butterfly clip, mini jaws, bows, and XL sparkle clips, your options are pretty endless when it comes to styling a these small accesories into your 2022 looks.

Who What Wear says, “Clips will never notbe in style, but the volume at which we wear them seems to change with the wind.” It might be time to start building your clip collection! You can pick one hair clip for your glam or hair look…or maybe three! Stacking clips for a unique and detailed look is very on-trend.

Bubble Braids

Don’t worry. There’s no soap involved. The “bubble braid” look is an ultra stylish hair trend gaining lots of populartiy. This style is popping up left and right in fashion magazines like Vogue and Cosmopolitan, and it is giving us so major inspiration for leveling up our braid game in 2022. Cosmopolitan calls “bubble braids” and “bubble ponys” “a cool way to switch up your usual updo” with ease.

For this look, I love to go glam with a middle part and pieces of hair sectioned off on either side of the face. For the bubbles, all you have to do is section your ponytails with hair ties, carefully pulling the sections to give them that bubblelook. A clear elastic is perfect for any look, but you can also have fun with colorful hair ties or even scrunchies! Just like a normal braid, you can style this look on the side, high, two braids. There’s no limit to how you might style this trend!
