Academy Awards winner and Tony Award winner Ariana DeBose will host the 75th Annual Tony Awards! The West Side Story star will lead the awards from Radio City Music Hall in New York City when the awards air live on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

“I’m coming home! I’m so honored to celebrate 75 years of excellence in theatre, but more importantly every member of this community who poured themselves into making sure the lights of Broadway have the opportunity to shine brightly once again!” Ariana said in a statement. “This is a dream come true, and I’m excited to see you all on June 12th.”

Ariana DeBose has starred on-screen and on-stage in incredible productions like Steven Spielberg’s recent West Side Story film where she brought Anita to life. Ariana’s work as Anita led to her winning an Oscar as well as BAFTA, Critics Choice, and SAG Awards. While she is the host this year, Ariana has won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in 2018 for her role as Disco Donna in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. She has also appeared in Hamilton (original Broadway and off-Broadway cast and Disney+ film), A Bronx Tale, Pippin, Motown The Musical, Bring It On: The Musical, Company, and The Prom (Netflix adaptation). She will also star in the forthcoming projects, Kraven the Hunter, Argylle, and ISS.

The 2022 Tony Awards nominees will be announced by Adrienne Warren and Joshua Henry on Monday, May 9, 2022, on the Tony Awards official YouTube channel, at 9:00 AM ET / 6:00 AM PT.

The 75th Annual Tony Awards will air live on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 8:00pm ET on CBS as well as live and on-demand on Paramount+.
