Tell us about your dance experience!
I began dancing at 18 months and stopped abruptly at 5. I ran out of my ballet class and told my mom that I never wanted to come back because I was intimidated and scared by my teacher. Until the summer of my ninth birthday, I did gymnastics and aerial arts. Then it hit me—I wanted to go back to dancing. So, I went back to the same studio I left that is now my home—south county dance company. I was way behind, so I worked hard with the best teachers to get better and close my gaps. I know hard work and commitment is what is needed and every day I want to learn more and get better. Dance is my passion—I can’t imagine my life without it.
