“I want to be a great role model just like my older sisters are. They have made such a positive change in our small town by opening a dance studio.”

Tell us about your dance experience!

I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. I used to take classes in Chicago when my family would make the 2 and a half-hour trip for my sisters to further their dance training. I have since been dancing at the studio that my family opened back in 2014. I love every dance style, but I like when my sister gives me more unconventional dances and not the same cookie-cutter routines.

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

I can always count on dance to keep me motivated and in a good mood! It doesn’t matter how my day was at school, once I enter the dance studio that all goes away. And I am filled with positivity & love. I have met great friends and have had the most fabulous experiences.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

I want to be a great role model just like my older sisters are. They have made such a positive change in our small town by opening a dance studio. I take what I learn at the studio about respect, love & hard work back to the school I attend.
