“Dance is a sport where you get to express your feelings, and I feel that’s especially important today. I want people to know it’s okay to dance for yourself and not just for an audience. Dance is my happy place and I’d encourage everyone to find theirs!”

Tell us about your dance experience!

I have enjoyed every second of dancing from the start (since I was 2 years old), and there hasn’t been a dull moment since. I did my first solo at age 6. I love to look back at old dance videos to see how far I’ve come.

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance has taught me so many things over the years that have helped me grow. I have met so many dancers and teachers throughout my dance career that have been an inspiration. Each one have helped me to reach goals that I have wanted to achieve. For that, I am so thankful!

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

I want to show that dance isn’t just about performing on stage and kicking your leg in the air. It’s so much more. Dance is a sport where you get to express your feelings and I feel that’s especially important today. I want people to know it’s okay to dance for yourself and not just for an audience. Dance is my happy place and I’d encourage everyone to find theirs!!
