“[dance] brings me so much joy to help and encourage tiny dancers that look up to me. Hearing them call my name in the hallways, at competitions, or even in town, brings me so much joy.”

Tell us about your dance experience!

I have started my dance journey when I was 19 months old. I started with ballet/ and tap. I instantly fell in love with tap. I started competing at 4 years old in a tap trio. Tap was my instant first love. Since then I have also trained and enjoy jazz, ballet, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, ballroom, and dance acro classes.

The one thing that I have always kept all these years is the love for tap. I consider myself very well-rounded in genres. I yearly will do two solos, but every year one is tap and the other is a genre I love to learn and strengthen in.

I have the last two season started to assist in your get classes. It brings me so much joy to help and encouragement tiny dancers that look up to me. Hearing them call my name in the hallways, at competitions or even in town, brings me so much joy.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

I would love to help the community with dance as a positive impact for kids. I want to show them that dance can be used as many different purposes in a positive way. You can use it to show kindness, happiness, or educationally. If my peers can see dancers can apply all this through dance, just maybe they would want to try as well. Or be a part of a event held to bring happiness to those in need through the art of dance .
