I absolutely adore the color pink! Through its many variations, pink evokes feelings of feminity, compassion, love, and happiness. It is also associated with sensitivity, sweetness, and romance. My love of pink has been lifelong, and pink, in its boldest form, has been Showstopper’s signature color for 46 years.
In this expanded issue, we celebrate pink’s power with wise words from Miley Cyrus: “Pink isn’t just a color. It’s an attitude.” Pink is fun! It is also a lifestyle. Pink inspires self-confidence, excitement, and passion. With pink, we dance from the heart.
When you think of pink, what comes to mind? Maybe it’s a soft ballet slipper, a bold fuchsia lip, or the electric energy of a Showstopper competition. Pink is a color of contradictions—gentle and fiery, timeless and trendsetting, classic yet ever-evolving. That’s why this special collector’s issue, packed with 20 extra pages of inspiration and stories, celebrates every shade of pink—literally and figuratively.
Our cover story features Sabrina Carpenter, a pop powerhouse who lives life with an open heart and a sense of humor. Whether she’s penning heartfelt lyrics or sharing moments of vulnerability with her fans, Sabrina proves that being yourself—no matter how colorful—never goes out of style.
And speaking of icons, what’s it like to spend a day in the life of P!NK? (Spoiler: it involved daring aerial stunts, honest storytelling, and juggling her incredible career with her role as a mom.) Her story is a reminder that vulnerability and strength go hand-in-hand—two shades of pink that make life so vibrant.
We also explore the history of pink in ballet—a journey through centuries of costume design, tradition, and transformation. From its roots—as a way to blend in—to its modern role as a celebration of individuality, pink’s legacy in dance reflects the way we’re all learning to embrace our unique selves.
Beyond the headlines, we’re diving into the power of pink in every corner of your dance journey. From conquering stage fright to creating bonds with your team, and even taking inspiration from pink’s iconic presence in pop culture, this issue proves that pink is more than a color—it’s an attitude. It’s not just something you wear—it’s how you show up, take risks, and own your story.
So show up for every single one of your moments, big and small, and remember: the world is always brighter when you add a little color to it!

It’s hard not to be obsessed with pink. Pink is bold and energetic. I admit that I tend to think of hot pink first, the loudest and proudest pink, but I think all pinks carry that kind of confidence.
The best part of pink is its adaptability. Every year, we say, “Pink is back!” but how often does it leave? Pink is a spring color. It’s a summer color. We rock it in fall and winter. It’s even creeping its way into Halloween! The energy that pink brings to everything it touches is something we can all aspire to.
Across these pages, we aim to embody pink. For centuries, pink has proven that it can do anything, and with the right moves and determination, we can too. Be bold. Be pink! I am “tickled pink” to share so many different versions of Showstopper’s favorite color with you in this special issue of Showstopper Magazine.
