“Dance can impact my community because there is no race in dance; any color can dance. Being a biracial performer can show anyone they can be just like me.”

Tell us about your dance experience!

I started at a very young age. I was very shy and awkward. I have overcome stage fright and my awkwardness in front of anyone. I have become family with my small dance community, and my best friends are my teammates. I dance five days a week and my parents travel an hour and 45 minutes to and from my studio every day!

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance teaches me respect, posture, time management, & the love of art for my dancing.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

Dance can have a positive impact on my community because it shows kids in my neighborhood there is more than just playing video games. Dance can impact my community because there is no race in dance; any color can dance. Being a biracial performer can show anyone they can do just like me.
