“I want to continue to share my love for dance and how dance can positively impact not only our physical health but our mental health as well. Everyone should have the opportunity to dance.”

Tell us about your dance experience!

I’ve been dancing since I was 2 years old. Well, actually, my mom always said I would dance in her belly to music before I was born, so I was literally born a dancer. My love for dance keeps growing every year. I love setting goals to conquer new techniques and skills in dance. I enjoy a good challenge. I’ve been with my current studio for almost five years now and love that they’ve become family.

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

With dance you not only do the movements to music but you FEEL the movements and music. It allows me to share my personality and emotions in a healthy way. When I dance, I feel like I can conquer the world.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

Every year my studio hosts a showcase fundraiser where we raise funds for the Bethany Children’s Hospital. I’m already impacting my community by participating in that each year. I want to continue to share my love for dance and how dance can positively impact not only our physical health but our mental health as well. Everyone should have the opportunity to dance.
