I have been dancing for as long as I can remember. I am 9 years old now and I started at the Little Gym…in 2015 and danced there until we moved to Santee and found Carolina Dance Academy… My mommy and I laugh because she said I was dancing in her tummy all the time before I was born.

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Being able to spend time with my dance family makes me so happy. I know that no matter what my sisters and my second moms are always there for me if I need them. I hope they know I’m there for them too. Dance has taught me that hard work pays off and that you can actually cry happy tears when your best friend wins 1st place.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

When I’m older, I want to be able to help other dancers like Audrey and Maddie have helped me. But I can help now by encouraging others who want to dance to follow their dreams and that we have a place for them at CDA.
