Olivia O’Sullivan is an 11-year-old dancer from New York. She dances at Starlite School of Dance.

Tell us about your dance experience!

I’ve been dancing since I was 3 years old. I’m trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical and tumbling. Last season I competed with my first solo in the lyrical genre and got first place overall at three different regional comps.

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

My dance family is my second family and I love being at my dance studio. Dance has brought me new friends and different teachers with different styles. Performing on stage is my favorite thing to do.

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

I want to use my dance experience to teach others what I have learned this far in my dance education so they can hopefully feel the joy I feel when dancing.
