If you’re a fan of studios that produce highlights of their choreography and dance classes for YouTube, then you’ve probably seen videos of Phil Wright’s “Parent Jam” classes. In these classes, Phil brings his dancers and their parents together to show off their moves, bringing together dance family and home family communities.

Now, Phil Wright has been listed as an executive producer for a new straight-to-series Disney Channel dance competition show. Named “Disney Fam Jam,” each episode of the show will feature two families that will compete to be Fam Jam Champs over the course of three rounds of dance battles.

In an official statement, Nancy Kanter, executive vice president, Content and Creative Strategy, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide, says, “Disney Fam Jam will take diverse, awe-inspiring families out of their living rooms and into the spotlight for a celebration of dance, family and fun.”

Phil officially announced the upcoming Disney Fam Jam during an interview with tWitch on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Production is officially set to begin in November, and Phil says that it will air in early 2020. If you’re wondering what we can expect, he also brought some experienced Parent Jammers on stage to show off their skills. Check it out!
