Sophia Mordini is an 11-year-old dancer from Wisconsin. She dances at Barb’s Centre for Dance.

Tell us about your dance experience!

I am mostly a tapper, but I also do all the styles. I dance on an elite pre-company team, and I have the most amazing dance teachers ever!

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance makes me feel good about myself, and it helps me connect with others in so many different ways. Dance not only keeps me physically fit, but it also keeps me mentally fit. I LOVE going to dance conventions so I can meet so many new people!

How do you want to use dance to have a positive impact on your community?

Everyone should be able to dance because it helps them express themselves and step out of their comfort zones and really dive deep into dancing.
