Dressing room is lit

Taylor Swift’s Lover album has been breaking records since it came out in September, and Swifties around the globe have happily shared that it as “no skips” (basically, the album is worth listening to all the way through every time). No skips, but the single “Lover” is one that many people have had on repeat since its release.

As if “Lover” could get any better, this week Taylor released a surprise remix of the song. The remix’s main feature is Taylor’s collaborator on the track, Shawn Mendes. Shawn sings on the track and even provided some new lyrics. “He has taken “Lover” and he has rewritten parts of it which I think is so important because I love him as a writer,” Taylor said on Instagram in her video announcement of the track’s release, “and I also think that everyone would write a different love letter to their lover, and I think that his take on it is so beautiful.”

Shawn took over verse two of the song with his own lyrics, and of course, fans everywhere are speculating the ways that his additions might be about his current sweetheart, Camila Cabello.

We could light a bunch of candles
And dance around the kitchen, baby
Pictures of when we were young would hang on the wall
We would sit on the stoop
I’ll sing love songs to you when we’re eighty
See, I finally got you now, honey, I won’t let you fall

The iconic wedding vows verse from the song also got some attention during this “collaboraSHAWN” (as Taylor referred to it).

Look in my eyes, they will tell you the truth
The girl in my story has always been you
I’d go down with the Titanic, it’s true, for you, lover
