Hello, December! “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” is living rent-free in my head and now, in my closet. I am ready for all of the holiday cheer and fashion as we get deep into winter. I love to get inspired by the fabulous Fall/Winter trends that come out this time of year. If nothing else, it truly is the season to sparkle! Cue the glitter and twinkling lights.

These are a few of my favorite winter fashion pieces and outfits perfect for holiday parties, Christmas dinners, and of course, New Year’s Day.

A Fabulous Coat

As the weather cools down, fashion gains so many layers! “A cold winter doesn’t have to put a halt to fashion,” says H&M, and I couldn’t agree more. We are getting into the holiday spirit with a fun and fabulous overcoat look. Adding a jack to your outfit is an entirely new tier of style fun.

“We are like a snowflake, all different in our own beautiful way.”

Your fresh winter coat can add new details to your look like pastel tints, colorful hues, gold button accents, or glam faux fur features. Cosmopolitan says the best coats “provide the perfect finishing touch to every outfit. So, they need to tick a LOT of boxes: versatile, warm (obvs), practical but pretty, and easy to dress up or down.” I think the perfect winter coat complements the whole fashion look. After all, fashion is about your personalized and unique style! Pick a cool coat this winter that you love and the fashion statement is practically made for you!

Hats, Hats, Hats

An accessory I love, hats are a sensible and stylish go-to winter accessory (and necessity!) for staying warm and fashionable. From knit beanies and fierce fedoras to beautiful berets and wool bucket hats, there are plenty of option. I also adore styling bright fun colors into my winter outfits with hats. Hats are an awesome accent piece to add to your holiday ensemble. The perfect hat is the cherry on top of a flawless outfit!

“Real style is never right or wrong. It’s a matter of being yourself on purpose.”

Party Pants

Patterns and prints coming at you! Every new season just feels like the perfect time to try new styles and level up our looks. Colored denim jeans, patterned trousers, and glittering sequins are just the start for fun pants that can add pizzazz to your ensemble. Refinery29 highlights stunning pant trends for winter. “Currently we are seeing a lot of designer creativity when it comes to bottoms. For the holiday season, try out a pair of “fancy pants”—embellished denim, silky pants, or feather trim-adorned pairs.” Substitute your standard jeans and mix and match your fashionable styles!

Winter Boots

Boots are THE shoe of the season. A key piece on my winter fashion checklist pre-winter, midwinter, and post-winter. The perfect pair of boots is a must-have! All great picks including platform boots, heeled booties, ankle boots, and showstopping knee-high styles.

Style Tip: When it comes to boots for winter, I really like selecting a neutral-toned shoe that pairs well with many things, giving my clothes a lot of versatility to be the star of the outfit.)

Any size, any style, choose the right pair of boots to accent your unique style. Vogue called! You and your boots are strutting into winter!

Sparkle

A seven-letter word full of high-shine and drama, this is my favorite way to complete any outfit. Sparkles. It really is time to shine this holiday season! Merry and bright (emphasis on bright!), there are so many ways to incorporate a little sparkle into your looks. I say it’s all in the details. Go for glitter or sequins with bows, shimmering shoes, bejeweled earrings, nail polish bling, and even highlighter for those glam makeup looks. Danielle Parker said, “The holidays are just another excuse to wear more glitter,” and she couldn’t be more right. You are ready to dazzle and outshine even the brightest lights.

“If I had a power color, it would definitely be sparkle.”
