“At the end of the day, I want to continue to promote dance as a safe place.”
Dance is an outlet used to help me get through some of life’s toughest moments. When I cannot express myself in no other way, I can turn on a song and allow everything I am feeling inside to explode through my movement. As a result of that, it takes the negative aspects of my life and makes them positive.
I would love to use dance to be a positive influence for my community in such a way where people experience freedom or a breakthrough. I also want to use dance in a way that it ushers in healing, whether it’s making someone happy or taking them to a place they’ve never been before. At the end of the day, I want to continue to promote dance as a safe place.
