Showstopper Sparkle Society member Nicole Laeno is always trying new things. Trained in ballet, lyrical, and contemporary, a large part of her heart belongs to hip hop, so it’s no surprise to find Nicole hanging out with choreographer Matt Steffanina doing a hip hop dance challenge.

Steffanina’s 10 Minute Dance Challenge is a simple one, but so far no one has beaten it. Each dancer that participates has 10 minutes to learn Steffanina’s choreography to a popular song — that means getting down the moves, rhythms, and, of course, the attitude. That’s a packed 10 minutes!

For the latest challenge, Nicole took on Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings”. Needless to say, there is a lot of fast movement and finesse packed into this choreography. Nicole looks like a superstar in the video even when she messes up, taking only two tries to perform the song. Unfortunately, it took her about 12 minutes to get the choreography down despite her previous experience with Steffanina’s style, but that’s still pretty impressive! We can’t all be as fabulous as Ariana Grande after just 10 minutes, but Nicole sure gets close.
