The 72nd Emmy Awards aired Sunday night in a somewhat scattered new format as Jimmy Kimmell hosted from the Staples Center and announcers and nominees were streamed in from various locations. Schitt’s Creek broke a comedy record by sweeping its award category and taking home seven Primetime Emmys as well as two additional awards. Zendaya shined as the youngest person to win the “Lead Actress in a Drama” award for her role in Euphoria.
