Sun-soaked skies, flowers blooming, lighter days, and happy dancing, you just can’t help but smile! Spring is here in full, beautiful bloom. This leaves us with beginnings and lovely light to turn towards. (Just as the blossoming sunflowers do!) I adore this time of the year and what this fun season brings to our style. As Robin Williams once said, “Spring is nature’s way of saying ‘Let’s Party!'” Fashion is a perfect way to celebrate the shift into this bright season.

Spring styles grace the forefront of fashion magazines, and the new looks are exciting! In a review of several of this season’s runway shows, Vogue Editor Laird Borelli-Persson says fashion designers encouraged “an openness to a sense of wonder” in their designs and clothing collections. As we digest the looks that will inspire everyday fashion, we are left to find our own wonder in the textures, colors, and silhouettes that were on display. Let’s build a spring look!
Sunshine Arrivals!
Have you spotted your first spring butterfly yet? Taking inspiration from butterflies’ easy breezy attitude, I started this spring OOTD with a pair of high-rise jeans with a loose fit. The style starts this look off with a statement and sets a comfortable tone for the outfit, the best of both worlds. Fashion continues to move toward more dramatic denim styles and throwbacks. Glamour says, “…Wide-leg jeans are here to stay. Houses like Chanel, Bottega Veneta, and Ralph Lauren sent them down the runway this season, but you don’t need a luxury label to tell you that this silhouette is en vogue; just take a look down any city street and you’ll get the picture.” Fashionable denim is so on trend.
Shine Bright like the Sun!
Let’s embrace the spring look and add some color. For this fit, I focused on pastels. From lavender haze to cotton candy pink, pistachio green, sky blue, honey orange, or butter yellow, pastel colors bring a lively spring aesthetic! For my look, I paired my jeans with a printed top in a pastel pink shade. You are the stylist here; pick a t-shirt you love!
The sunflower is a beautiful reminder that you can always turn towards the light.

Spring into the Details
Pants: check! Top: check! Let’s accessorize. In the small details, you can add textures, hues, and feature fashion elements. I added a mini red heart necklace paired with gold earrings and a friendship bracelet I made. For my hair, I braided the front two sections into mini braids! I also added a plaid pastel bow on each side of my braid, inspired by spring picnics. I let my makeup bloom with rosy red blush, butterfly mascara, and sugary pink lip gloss.

You get to personalize your look uniquely to you. What do you gravitate toward when the weather gets warmer?
