Hello, fall! Even though the temperatures of the summer heat are cooling down, the fashion is still fire! Mixing the latest fall fashions with your favorite leotards in your dancewear collection is the perfect way to make looks that are unique to your individual style! Whoever said a leotard cant also double as a bodysuit fit perfect for an unforgettable look?

Patchwork and Denim

This look screams fierce fall fashion. Denim is a fashion staple and the ultimate go-to for this season! (What’s chilly weather without denim?) Patchwork is a versatile retro trend from the 1960s that can be spotted on the runway and in street style looks. When you pair these iconic fashion statements you get patchwork denim, a must-try trend this fall! Pair different color denim washes and shades of blue to create your own signature patchwork denim look.

“Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.”
– Bill Cunningham

For this look, I took these fun, tri-colored patchwork denim jeans and matched them with a blue crushed velvet top. (The contrasting textures are a whole vibe.) I added some gold jewelry and my kicks to take on the city. I love the raw edge of the denim pants paired with my white sneakers. Grab your purse and your blue jeans, babe!

Monochrome Vibes

There is something so stunning about a monochromatic look. It’s intentional, elegant, and chic all at the same time. (Not to mention, bold!) Monochromatic styles typically use one color. So, choose your favorite color and get going! Pantone’s Fall Colors Report for 2020 features beautiful hues perfect for monochrome looks. You can go bold with a color like Samba, Sandstone, Classic Blue, or Green Sheen or create a more muted monochrome with “classic neutrals” like Almond Oil or Sleet. Don’t be afraid to experiment with color!

“Fashion is… Movement, design, and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are who we’d like to be.”
– Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl)

I found all the Green Sheen pieces in my closet including a lime green “Classic Luxe” velvet leotard to put together this look! For monochrome outfits, I like to use varying shades of one color. I added square geometric sunglasses, statement earrings to contrast with the green trench coat, and white glossy ankle boots, finishing off the look with a mini sparkle purse. (Adding a little sparkle to your outfit is always a good idea.) The key to monochrome looks is to just have fun with it! You will definitely stand out and slay the streets!

Leather Lives On!

The Fall 2020 New York Fashion Week runway shows are proof that leather looks are taking over this season. (Remember those 1980s-inspired leather looks?) This iconic style craze is one of my favorite looks to wear. You can transform an entire outfit with just one item! Layer an oversized blazer over your favorite bodysuit takes your outfit to the next level. Leather is perfect for everyday fashion, but you can certainly go bold by wearing colored or painted leather. And you can always go for faux!

“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”
– Coco Chanel

Because Leather is so in for fall 2020 and all the major fashion icons are sporting glossy jackets, I had to style my own take on this trend. I chose a versatile vintage leather jacket to base my look around and built the rest of the outfit from there. I put on a black velvet “Soho” leotard and added a dark wash denim skirt for a pop of color. I paired sneakers with this look, adding a street style edge, and threw on my shades!
