As the weather heats up and the days get longer, it’s time to plan your best summer yet. Summer provides an opportunity for personal growth, trying new things, and chasing after your dreams. With the open schedule that summer vacation offers, beating the heat and staying cool (in a sunglasses-on-living-your-best-life way) are more than possible.

Embrace Spontaneity

Have a “yes” summer. Try going outside of your comfort zone and not overthinking every small thing. If a friend invites you to do go to a new place, try a hobby, or eat a new food, say “Yes.” You never know, maybe you’ll end up loving it. If not, you can say you tried it and it wasn’t for you.

Even when you don’t end up liking something, you will have memories and stories from the experience! So, don’t rule things out just because it is out of your comfort zone. Be fine with being spontaneous. The best part of summer is that not everything has to be perfectly planned out.

Spend Time with Friends and Family

Don’t forget to spend time with the people you love. Summer is the perfect time to reconnect with friends or family members that you don’t get to see often during the school year. Spending time with friends or family doesn’t mean you have to go out to get dinner or take a group trip. Think simple! A walk is a perfect way to enjoy the weather and each other’s company.

Set Goals and Go After Them

We can’t have the best summer yet if we’re not chasing our dreams, so set some goals for the future and plan to accomplish them! New skills and personal growth are summer activities. Your days off provide opportunities to think, reflect, plan, and get to work. So, start making things happen! You can do anything you put your mind to and this is the best time.
