Transitioning from high school to college, finding forever friends…turning into a vampire? All of these life-changing experiences have us thinking about what it means to choose your own path. Our August #TBR is all about the books that take us on adventures where staying true to what they believe in might be the only thing that keeps a character safe from complete disaster whether that means losing a friendship or becoming a monster. Could you handle the pressure?

The L.O.V.E. Club by Lio Min
Liberty, O, Vera, and Elle are the L.O.V.E. club, an inseparable group of BFFs. Or they were. Three years ago, Elle disappeared, and Liberty and Vera moved away. O is the only member of the club left in their California suburb missing her the best friends she lost.
Senior year brings the return of Liberty and Vera, but reuiniting isn’t as easy as coming home, especially when they’re still missing a member of their once tight-knit group. Liberty, Vera, and O decide to return to their old clubhouse only to find that Elle left them something, a mysterious new game called Morning Glory that combines their real-life experiences with a botanical fantasy and clues about what happened to Elle.
Morning Glory proves to be more than a game, especially for O, who is starting to wonder if reuniting with Elle is actually possible and if the girls she called her best friends were ever who she thought they were.
