As a professional dancer performing on stage six nights a week, I’ve had to really work on finding beauty essentials that match my routine! Here’s an insider’s guide to keeping makeup exciting and fresh (even on busy days) by adding in unique products that align with the season.
My faves right now include an arsenal of cream blush, lip gloss, moisturizer, and perfume. With the right combination, we can embrace the winter chill with hydration, color, glow, festive scents, and creativity. These are a professional dancer’s winter beauty essentials!
Tinted Sunscreen
Even in winter, the sun shines through, and it’s important to protect your skin and keep it hydrated. One of my true beauty essentials is the Elta MD Broad Spectrum SPF Tinted Face Sunscreen. I wear it under my makeup every day.

This product is always in my pink makeup bag. The tinted sunscreen is moisturizing and contains vitamin E with SPF 50 protection. It blends seamlessly into any makeup routine, and you can still apply all of your stage makeup on top of it. #Slay.
Cream Blush
A deep red colored blush is my go-to look for winter. I love to keep my cheeks rosy and dewy! It looks great in the winter air and also under the stage lights! Skin is a newer clean beauty brand by beauty and fashion influencer Ella Rose, made in Italy.

Peptide Lip Treatment
Frost-ready beauty! As dancers, we wear lipstick a lot for performances, and just like your skin, it’s important to keep your lips hydrated! The Rhode by Hailey Bieber Peptide Lip Treatment is my current pick. From fun gloss flavors to choose from, like Peppermint Glaze, Cinnamon Roll, and Salted Caramel, my favorite Rhode lip flavor right now is Sweet Vanilla!

For onstage moments, I like to add some gloss over my lipstick for a high shine over the base color. A glazed finish! This is a quick and easy addition to your makeup look that makes a dramatic difference. Sparkle on, girl!
Perfume for Winter
One of my favorite parts of my beauty routine is adding a splash of perfume to finish flawlessly! Colder weather can also mute lighter perfume scents, so I use my stronger fragrances in the winter months. My scent of choice this winter is called Angel Wings. To me, it’s winter, cozy and sweet, warm and rich! I like to spray on a delicate veil of it before I perform!
