Last week, the geniuses behind Mattel’s American Girl dolls announced that they were preparing a big project. Surprisingly, this project doesn’t have anything to do with dolls – well, not really. They are working on a musical production inspired by the stories about some of our favorite American Girl characters. Basically, all of those books you read as a kid are coming to life.

Set to begin their North American tour in the fall of 2018, the musical features an all-female creative team and cast. Together with Mills Entertainment, they are working to bring some of the most influential role models (or role mo-dolls) from the past 30 years onto the stage where they can continue to inspire children and their families.

It’s time to grab your American Girl dolls and plan out your outfits for when the tour dates are announced in the next few weeks!
