You don’t need to set foot on Broadway to see your favorite musicals and plays. While you’re digging into your to-watch and to-read lists, it might be time to start a to-sing-show-tunes-along-with (but that might be too long for a list title).

Services like BroadwayHD, PBS’ THIRTEEN Passport, and your favorite streaming platforms like YouTube, Amazon, Prime, and iTunes all have musicals available to stream. From Cats on BroadwayHD (or Cats the film which is also available for streaming on major platforms) to Newsies on iTunes, there’s a musical for you no matter your tastes. Oh, and there’s plenty of Shakespeare across pretty much all of the platforms.

Print yourself a Playbill, grab a snack, and enjoy the show. The best part might be that you can forget all theatre etiquette and sing your heart out along with your favorite productions. Just remember your manners when it’s time for an actual trip to Broadway or your favorite regional theatre.
