The 72nd Emmy Awards are taking place according to schedule on September 20, 2020 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and air live on ABC at 8pm ET with hosting by Jimmy Kimmel.

With the announcement of the nominations on Tuesday, Netflix broke the record, previously held by HBO, for most Emmy nominations by a network, studio, or streaming service. Netflix received 160 nominations. Despite this, HBO’s Watchmen leads with the most nominations of any series this year with twenty six nominations including Best Limited Series.
