Artist, songwriter, director, dancer, fashion STAR, Grammy winner, MTV Music Award winner, and seven-time Artist of the Year Taylor Swift officially has “More Number 1 Albums than any Woman in History”, reports the New York Times! Now, that’s a look.

A Queen who creates limitless art through music with artistry like no other, Taylor’s evolution in the music space is wonderful and lovely and magnificent. Taylor Swift nails every music genre she enters with her songs, creating a new “Era” with unique albums holding an unbelievable range from country to pop to folk to rock to original styles. One of my favorite things about this inventive artist is how she can capture the art of storytelling perfectly through her lyrics in the most exquisite way. From romantically beautiful ballads, to intricate lyrical tracks, or upbeat dance songs, Taylor makes music with brilliance and attention to detail!

Taylor Swift has inspired fashion in a monumental way! With each Taylor “Era” she steps into musically, she also brings out new clothing, hair, and makeup styles to match. Taking style inspiration from Taylor’s iconic album cover art, performance fashion, and music
video outfits from each era… Let’s create some danceable eras looks!

Fashion is all about your own style, so have fun putting together outfits to dance in that you love! As Taylor Swift said, “Just be yourself, there is no one better.”

Here are 3 Dance looks Inspired by 3 Taylor Swift Eras!

Lover Era

“I promise that you’ll never find another like ME!”

Taylor Swift, “ME! (feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco)

Imaginative, cool, and artistic. A Taylor album with love, happiness, and emotion, when it comes to creating an outfit perfect to dance in and inspired by Taylor’s lovely Lover Era, think whimsical fashion, bright hues, and pastels. Pick your most colorful leotard and skirt for this dance look! I chose my Royal Couture obre velvet leotard and rainbow mesh ballet skirt with ballet tights and dance shoes. For makeup, you can also add some glittery highlighter or eyeshadow to this look and Taylor’s classic face jewels in a heart shape.

Dance it out! Cabrioles to the song “Cruel Summer” and leaping to “London Boy!”

Reputation Era

“Are you ready for it?”

Taylor Swift, “…Ready For It?”

Upbeat, fierce, cryptic, confident, and a glimpse into the edgy side of Taylor’s edgy music and fashion. When this new album came out in 2017, I remember playing each song out loud with my sisters and we just couldn’t stop dancing!

To capture this Era in an outfit, think edgy, layers, bodysuits, rhinestones, snake motifs, and intricate fabric textures. It is all in the details! I styled my reputation era outfit wearing my black velvet Royal Couture leotard with my faux snakeskin red ballet skirt. Next, I layered
a jewel-embellished fitted long-sleeve top and snake-shaped gold hairclips for some sparkle! And of course, the best accessory… T-Swift red lipstick. Sophistication and style!

Ballet time! Developpes to “Delicate” and grand jetes to “Gorgeous!”

Speak Now Era

“This night is sparkling, don’t you let it go, I’m wonderstruck dancing around all alone.”

Taylor Swift, “Enchanted”

A fairytale. This album is a complete classic, and one of my favorites. First released in 2010, Speak Now is the latest album to be rerecorded and released as “Taylor’s Version” in 2023 (with some epic “From the Vault” new songs too!). When it comes to creating an outfit inspired by Taylor’s amazing Speak Now Era, begin with the main piece of your dance look—a perfectly purple leotard. Taylor Swift is iconic in her
dreamy purple album cover for Speak Now. Major inspo! Glistening and glimmering. Put your own spin on this style by adding a fun purple skirt, any length! Rockstar.

You’re ready to sissonne to “Speak Now” and echappé to “Enchanted!”

You can’t go wrong with adding a little glitter to any of these fashion looks inspired by Taylor Swift! Have fun and dance it out! What is your favorite Taylor Swift Era?
