The 77th Annual Tony Awards nominees were announced today live on CBS Mornings by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Renée Elise Goldsberry. From Best New Musical to Best Choreography, the nominees span 26 competitive categories and 28 shows, including The Notebook, The Great Gatsby, and Merrily We Roll Along.
Leading the nominations this season are Hell’s Kitchen and Stereophonic with 13 nominations each. They are followed closely by The Outsiders with 12 nominations.
This year, the Tony Awards will take place on Sunday, June 16. They will air live from the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City from 8:00-11:00 PM on CBS and live and on-demand on Paramount+. A live pre-show, The Tony Awards: Act One will also air live ahead of the awards on CBS and Pluto TV.
