The 50th annual American Music Awards took place in Los Angeles, California over the weekend. A celebration of the music we have loved from the last year hosted by Wayne Brady, the AMAs made music history as stars claimed record-breaking awards. The show aired globally to 120 countries and territories. The AMAs called the show “A vibrant night of non-stop music, the AMAs featur[ed] a powerful lineup featuring first-time collaborations and exclusive world premiere performances from music’s biggest names- from POP to Rap, R&B to country, Latin to K-Pop-and more, as well as memorable moments that live on in pop culture.”

The AMAs were an electric night to remember on stage and on the red carpet. Stars walked the carpet to celebrate the event in outrageous outfits from sparkling to inspiring. Fashion is self-expression! The way we dress says amazing things about who we are. The language of fashion is limitless. Seeing the collaboration of superstars and designers on the red carpet is an amazing display of art. The carpet is always filled with memorable fashion, but these are a few fierce fashion standouts of the night.

Taylor Swift

The queen has arrived! Artist of the Year (seven times since 2009), Taylor is a history-making legend sparking head to toe in a bejeweled jumpsuit designed by The Blonds with matching exquisite jewelry. Taylor’s makeup was glowy and on point as always with a classic red lip that is signature Taylor. Swifties were carefully decoding this look for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) clues, but one thing is for sure. Taylor is the golden girl.

Becky G

Hello, glamorous style. Becky G posed on the AMA’s matte black carpet in style. Her black dress was designed by Monsoori and featured satin bow detailing, a flowing skirt train, elegant velvet opera gloves, and black platform heels. This look was simply stunning and an elegant designer take on the LBD.

Carrie Underwood

Ok, we can’t skip this bubble gum pink look! Rainbow cascading sequins and our signature color made Carrie Underwood’s sweet style an AMAs moment, Carrie wore a long, beaded, fringe dress in pastel tones designed by Tony Ward. Paired with the country star’s wavy mermaid hair, glam makeup and silver heels, the overall look was magnificent.

Coco Jones

Meghan Trainor

‘Tis the season for sparkle…and pink! Sorry, periwinkle. Pink continues to be the color of the year. Meghan shimmered on the AMAs carpet in a vibrant pink coordinating blazer pantsuit set designed by Michael Costello. The flare plants look and plunging blazer gave this gorgeous look a groovy vibe. Meghan’s Barbiecore looks has us playing “Made You Look” on repeat.
