The changing weather is calling for iconic new trends and statement-making outfits. Say hello to all of the fabulous fashion we have been loving lately (paired perfectly with pumpkin-spiced lattes, of course).

It’s time for a fashion roll-call! So many pieces graced the runway this past season celebrating that wonderful feeling that comes up with getting dressed up to go out again. Designers and fashion houses around the world released new collections for Fall 2021, showcasing the beauty and simplicity of joy reflected through clothing. These trends circulate our social media pages and appear in worldwide fashion magazines. I love seeing so many elegant garments and vibrant colors taking over fall fashion.

Before we get into my favorites, let me share by biggest go-to tip for adding new trends to your wardrobe: always add your own personal twist! The best part of fashion is that there really aren’t any rules. You can stay true to yourself and have fun with the latest trends.

Now let’s take a look at five of my favorite fall trends and how I style them.

Blazers, baby!

Who doesn’t love a blazer? This business casual item is a classic staple. Blazers will never go out of style. There are too many ways to style them for a variety of moods and looks. Elegance and boss energy from the office to streetwear. But outside of being a classic, it’s how the blazer is being styled in 2021 that is really exciting.

Celebs have been spotted out and about sporting their favorite tailored street style looks. Blazers are marvelous, must-have pieces if you love to layer new trends with pieces you already have in your closet. Don’t just take my word for it. Refinery29 calls blazers “a fashion power piece that moves easily across settings, seasons, and styles.” Leather, linen, denim, blazers go with all of your favorite fabrics, and they’re versatile with shoes, too. Dress them up with heels and a dress pair them with your favorite jeans and go-to kicks. Blazers are effortlessly cool. Icon behavior!

Boots season!

Do I need to explain this? Boots are always an absolute yes. The style range for fall boots is pretty much endless. They are showstopping appearances this season in lots of ways.

Designers like Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, and Tory Burch are loving knee-high boots this season. They are perfectly fierce for sleek and glam styles. They are joined by platform boots which have also been finishing off unforgettable looks right and left. Whether you’re going for a classic boot in neutrals like tan and cream or going for a bold, saturated hue like pink or neon green, there are so many style options (don’t even think about forgetting cowboy boots!). This is footwear to strut in.

Let’s go sleeveless

Ok, let’s get back to all those layers we love. Fall is layering season, and vests can give your look texture and shape with an extra comfy layer.

We all love fall, but your fall might not be all falling leaves and chilly evenings. Knit vests are perfect for cooler temperatures, but you can also rock a light knit in warmer climates. Everyone needs at least one vest in their life. Vogue says it best, “Try a sweater that makes you smile.” Then style that sweater, vest, or trouser vest (love) with loose trousers or neutral denim for a chic fall silhouette. Aren’t vests so fun to style?

Fall for oversized pants

Speaking of loose trousers, a versatile 90s look is coming back for fall this year. Fashionistas are embracing oversized pants on the runway and off!

When it comes to this trend, you really have so many options for tops. My go-to pieces that complement oversized pants are usually fitted tops or structured jackets (like blazers!) to contrast the flow of the bottoms. Solid colors are perfect for color-blocked looks with these pants, but texture is fun to experiment with, too. (I can’t help but add velvet!) It’s impossible to feel like you’re not on the runway when you’re rocking pants this bold.

Don’t forget the essentials!

What fall fit would be complete without these accessories? There are so many creative easy ways to style these extras with your look. It’s all in the details.

Colorful Claw Clips

There are so many fun shapes and designs to choose from (and different sizes for tons of cute hairstyles). I will totally be sporting these in every color this season!

Mini Bags with Topside Handles

No outfit is finished without the perfect bag, right? Supersize bags were front and center in runway collections by Balmain, Brunello Cuccinelli, and Stella McCartney, but the mini bag is without a doubt holding its own in fashion houses around the world.

Statement Rings

The weather might be a bit more muted lately, but let’s stay bold. Glam and perfect for adding even more layers to your look, rings are fun to mix and match and just as fun to collect. When I travel, I love to collect a different ring from every new place I visit. They all hold special meanings, and looking at my hands is a flashback to all of those memories!

Remember, trends come and go, but it’s how you take those trends and make them your own that creates a lasting style! Have fun with it, and remember that there are no rules!
