Improve Musicality 

TikTok thrives on our love of music. So there are plenty of TikTok dances with different songs, moods, and tempos to explore. These dances are usually choreographed to catchy songs with obvious beats. Learning these routines to practice hitting sharp movements on certain beats and sounds in a song. 

Tip: It can be helpful to sit down and listen to the song first to hear every beat, accent, and detail in the song before you learn the dance so you know where the hits are.

Build Confidence

Nothing helps build confidence more than a solo! Being nervous about dancing alone is normal. Recording yourself for a wider audience can help you get used to performing on your own and show off your skills.

Improve Memorization Skills and Coordination

TikTok dances require fast movement, detailed arm/hand choreography, and hard-hitting movements. These provide the perfect opportunity for working on your coordination and flow and memorizing dances. Since the choreography can be short but detailed, TikTok dances allow you to focus on clean, well-performed dances.

Tip: Slow down the video to carefully break down each move and make it clean. Then move on to the next, and put it all together. Focus on intentional movement.
