“Whatever happens on the dance floor, I will always be happy and grateful for the opportunity.”
In all the years I have danced, I have never had a connection like I have with my dance friends. I have met so many people, and everyone has been super supportive. Dance has taught me how to push my limits, not to care about the negative comments, and to be the best I can be. I have learned this because I know I surround myself with good people and I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I hadn’t stepped into my studio. I always pride myself in working hard and making sure I give my all every time. Whatever happens on the dance floor, I will always be happy and grateful for the opportunity. I make sure everyone feels confident and that they feel nothing less than they should.
In many communities, I know that there are those who do not get as many opportunities as a lot of us do. I want to take it upon myself and offer anyone who wants them, dance classes or after-school activities. I would not offer just tap classes, but all styles of dance. Unfortunately, many kids can’t afford their own dance shoes, so I would like to start a drive or fundraiser where I can collect tap shoes and all other types of shoes for anyone who wants and needs them. This is important so that kids can have the opportunity to explore dance and they can enjoy it and can have fun with it.
