Let’s be real, Coachella is about more than the music. It is about the people you meet, the food, photo opportunities, and, since 2017, it has increasingly been about fashion. While Coachella 2025 (and its many influences and outfits) are past, we’re left with plenty of inspiration for summer from a weekend with your friends to dance class.

As a dancer, you are looking for outfits that are cute, comfortable, and danceable. What better place to draw inspiration from than Coachella, where outfits are made to move and withstand desert heat? Whether you’re going to dance practice, vibing at a summer camp, or just having a mini dance party with your besties, festival fashion is all about showcasing your unique and individual style. Here’s your guide to Coachella-inspired looks that will let you dance, spin, and slay—without sacrificing comfort or functionality.

Boho: Flowy and Fringe

This is classic Coachella style. If you want a super flowy and breathable look, think of something that you would feel free in. Long flowy skirts, thin crochet tops, and fringe dance with you! If you are a lyrical or contemporary dancer, then the boho look is going to be a perfect fit.

What to Wear:

  • Thin and long midi or maxi skirts that move with you
  • Crochet tops or halter tops
  • Fringe boots, jackets, vests, and skirts

Staying Sparkly: Sequins, Glitter and Rhinestones

There is no better time to sparkle than summer, when the sun makes everything shine even brighter. Think competition costume “core” but with a more casual twist that allows you to wear it daily.

What to Wear:

  • Sequin dresses or skirts
  • Chunky body glitter, glitter eyeshadow, rhinestones
  • Rhinestone tops

Keeping it Edgy: Putting a Spin on Daily Style

Coachella vibes don’t just mean sparkles and bright colors. If you’re going for comfort, pick things that feel more everyday and elevate them. We suggest combining streetwear with pieces you can wear to dance for a flexible but cute outfit.

What to Wear:

  • Cargo pants or parachute pants
  • Denim jackets, leather jackets
  • High-top sneakers such as Converse, Combat boots
  • Graphic t-shirts, lace tops

Neutral Vibes: Textures and Earth Tones

If you are the type of dancer who leans toward earth tones, fun textures, and clothes that feel like they move with you, this is for you. Create a relaxed look that will leave you ready for a variety of dance styles.

What to Wear:

  • Muted color leotards paired with a wrap skirt.
  • Wrap sandals or Birkenstocks.
  • Braids and natural makeup.
